FREMONT, California. – September 22, 2008 – Arista Corporation, a leading provider of industrial computing products, today announced the addition of the BoxPC 108A and BoxPC 108K units to its series of ARP 1700 series expandable panel computers.
About the BoxPC 108 Series
Adding to its comprehensive line of industrial box computers, Arista now offers the BoxPC 108 series. The series is available with either with a high horsepower 2.8GHz Pentium 4 processor (BoxPC 108K) or an energy efficient 1.5 GHZ VIA C7 processor (BoxPC 108A).
Each model is equipped with one PCI expansion slot, 6 USB 2.0 ports, dual Ethernet connectivity, and multiple COM ports. Unique to the 108A is its ability to accept either 120-240VAC or 24VDC power adapters, and the inclusion of four additional RS-232 COM ports. While the BoxPC 108A/K can be used as a stand-alone unit suiting various wall mount applications, the 108 was cross-designed to be included in Arista’s ARP 1700 series of expandable panel computers.
About the ARP 1700 Series
The ARP 1700 series panel computers have proven themselves across the globe with their unique combination of expandability and modularity. The ARP 1700 series panel computing systems combine the Arista ADM 1500 series industrial monitors together with the industrial BoxPC computer series to form a modular panel computing system. The ARP 1700 series currently features screen sizes up to 20.1”, and BoxPC’s up to 3.0GHz P4 with up to 3 PCI expansion slots.
Reliable & Expandable Design
Arista developed this modular panel pc series to provide for reliable system performance, simplified maintenance, quick product installations, easy component upgrades and reduced equipment expenditures. The ARP 1700 units are designed to be utilized in high demand control environments where maximum uptime and reliable performance are paramount. If either the LCD Monitor or BoxPC require an upgrade or repair, they can be replaced independent of each other to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
